Abstract:Protoplasts, derived from plant tissues, are considered functional equivalent of animal induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). Similarly, to their animal counterparts, plant iPSC show large-scale, chromatin reorganisation, thought to be a hallmark of pluripotency acquisition.
