Multipulse Optical-Rectification-Based THz Source for Accelerator Applications

Abstract: THz sources offer the potential for higher frequencies and higher breakdown thresholds in accelerating structures in comparison with conventional RF sources. They also benefit from larger field strengths, field gradients, better beam synchronization and compactness.
