Multiplicity, transverse momentum, forward-backward long range correlations and percolation of strings

Abstract: The behaviour of the normalized variance of the multiplictiy distribution and the normalized transverse momentum fluctuations with centrality is naturally explained by the dependence on centrality of the number of clusters of color sources. This dependence predicts a nonmonotonic behaviour with centrality of the multiplicity associated to high p T events.
