“…Occurrence of multifocal schwannomas in different nerves and in the absence of NF is very uncommon [2,3,43]. In 1990 Tang [43], describing a personal case of multifocal neurilemmoma in different nerves in the same extremity and culled from the literature, pointed out that the principle characteristics of the 3 patients were: that all of them were male and had a long history of illness; none of them had NF; the median nerve was most frequently involved; postoperative deficits were found in all cases, probably because the chances of injuring the nerve tissue during surgery increase in proportion with the number of tumours to be excised, as the fibers or funiculi over the turnouts were compressed between the neighboring tumours.…”

“…Neurilemmonas (or schwannomas) arise from the Schwann cell of the neurilemma [2,[4][5][6][7] and are the most common tumours of peripheral nerves [1,7,9]. They are usually benign and solitary [1,4,5].…”

“…Generally, there is a palpable mass at physical examination. [4][5][6] We have reported a clinical case of a patient who was sent to our vascular laboratory with the suspicion of a thrombosed posterior tibial artery aneurysm. The patient exhibited symptoms for 3 years and was previously assessed by her general practitioner and orthopedist.…”
