Multiplexing system for organ having plural manuals

Abstract

This patent is related to a family of three patents to the same inventor reviewed below (4,350,069; 4,358,981; 4,366,738) which are concerned with electronic organs of the institutional or classical type. Patent 4,366,738 describes the multiplexing system in which the keys played on the manuals and pedalboard "are multiplexed simultaneously to produce a plurality of synchronized serial data streams." In the present patent the information concerning manual and pedal keys played is transported from one key of music to another "by transposing the demultiplex latch command ahead or behind in time so that the data stream is latched either early or late by one or more time slots depending on the amount of transposition selected.
