An information network is a structure used for transmitting various forms and types of information. In basic structure, it consists of branches that connect certain nodes. Many scientists and researchers have dealt with the problem of defining an information network, depending on the functional organization and data transmission, and also with the classification of information networks. Information networks have a very wide application in almost all scientific disciplines. A large number of researches are carried out on the application of information networks (e.g. bisociative, deep information network, heterogeneous information network, and space information network) in the field of medicine for easier detection of diseases, drug development, etc, and other needs to support real-time communication, massive data transmission, and data processing. In accordance with the above mentioned, the aim of this paper is to offer different approaches in defining and classifying general forms of information networks and to notice their wide application in different research disciplines.

This paper investigates the application of nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to satellite communication network over Shadowed-Rician fading channels. The impact of imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC) on NOMAbased satellite network is taken into consideration from the perspective of practical scenarios. We first derive new exact expressions of outage probability for the p-th terrestrial user and provide the corresponding asymptotic analysis results. The diversity order of zero and p are achieved by the p-th terrestrial user with ipSIC and perfect successive interference cancellation (pSIC), respectively. Finally, the presented simulation results show that: 1) On the condition of pSIC, the outage behaviors of NOMA-based satellite network are superior to that of orthogonal multiple access; 2) With the value of residual interference increasing, the outage performance of terrestrial users with ipSIC is becoming worse seriously; and 3) Infrequent light shadowing of Shadowed-Rician fading brings the better outage probability compared to frequent heavy and average shadowing.

Power domain non-orthogonal multiple access (PD-NOMA) has been widely recognized a spectrum-efficient multiuser transmission method when the channel gains across different users vary obviously. Due to the long travel distance between the space and the Earth in satellite communication scenarios, the advantages from PD-NOMA will disappear since the signals experience almost the same path loss. However, in hybrid satellite networks, terrestrial users equipped with different size antennas may lead to various receiving gains, which are equivalent to diverse channel gains. In this paper, by deeply exploiting such a characteristic, we propose a power domain multiplexing based co-carrier transmission method in a hybrid satellite network. Superposing a weak signal on a strong one, two signals are enabled to be transmitted on the same carrier with the bandwidth of the strong signal. To guarantee the signals are decodable at both sides, a user pairing strategy is investigated in detail, and the performance gain of the new method is further analyzed. Simulation results show that a carrier resource can be saved in the proposed method with the sacrifice of a marginal bit-error-rate performance.
