Multiple isolated small bowel perforations following blunt abdominal trauma

Abstract: HighlightsSmall bowel injury following blunt abdominal trauma is rare.Clinical assessment is crucial to achieve an early diagnose, thus reducing morbidity and mortality.Hemodynamic instability and/or abdominal tenderness after blunt abdominal trauma raise the need for emergent laparotomy.
