“…The disease seems to cover a spectrum of peculiar benign neopla sias ofthe hair follicle and the hair disk with different associated conditions. The typical lesion includes multiple cutaneous papular tumors, namely fibro folliculomas and trichodiscomas, associated with acrochordons [4][5][6][7], The majority of the reported cases arc members of families with an autosomal dominant mode of inher itance, although sporadic cases like ours have been reported [5], representing perhaps 'formes frustes' of the disease. Moreover, there arc cases reported as multiple familiar fibrofolliculomas [8], multiple familiar peri follicular fibromas [9], multiple fibrofollicu lomas with acrochordons [10], multiple trichodiscomas with acrochordons and perifollicular fibromas [2], multiple tricho discomas [II,12], and cases in which, in spite of histological demonstration of fibrofolliculomas and trichodiscomas, no acrochordons could be detected in the patients examined (cases 2 and 4 of Bahts et al [6], the present case).…”
