Multiple asymptomatic papules on the dorsum of hands

Abstract: A 59-year-old man presented with a 2-year history of multiple asymptomatic skin lesions involving the dorsum of both hands. He was otherwise healthy and was not taking any medication. He had no family history of a similar condition. On physical examination, multiple red-brown to violaceous papules and plaques 3-6 mm in size were seen on the dorsum of both hands (Fig. 1). A biopsy was taken from the largest of the lesions on the right hand.
