Abstract:Expressions are derived for the absorption coefficient of substitutional impurities taking into account resonant impurity states and anharmonicity of lattice vibrations. I n both the cases the lineshape of the absorption band is modified due to broadening effects. It can be shown that the contribution due to anharmonicity is not only remarkable, but dominates under certain conditions, for example, in the case of strong electron-phonon interaction.PaCCMaTpeHO lTOrJIO4eHIIe CBBTB, 06yCJIOBeHHee IIpIIMeCRMII IIpI… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
