Abstract:A review of some of the best examples of two or more metal centers cooperating in a variety of homogeneous catalytic reactions is presented. Catalytic reactions covered include hydroformylation, cyclopropanation and diazoalkane cyclization, hydrogenation, oxidations, asymmetric epoxide ring openings, asymmetric aldol, thietane ring‐opening cyclizations, and tandem catalysis. Many enzymes have long been recognized to make use of two or more metal centers in activating substrates for further reaction. A few repr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
