The classification and sharing of online course teaching cases based on students’ individual learning needs can help teachers save time and cost in preparation of lessons and enrich their teaching content, and what is more, it is in line with the digitalization trend of the modern data-driven education. Currently, there has been few research on the combination of new information technology with teaching case classification, and the research is not adequate on the existing algorithms for classification of online course teaching cases. Therefore, this paper takes the teaching cases of online open courses of finance as the object, and studies the classification method for online course teaching cases based on an improved clustering method. First, the text clustering problem of finance teaching cases was described, and the conversion process of the abstracts of the case text and the evaluation method for the importance of words to teaching cases were given. Then, the key sentences were extracted from the text of the finance teaching cases, and the related algorithm was introduced. After that, the clustering flow chart for long texts of finance teaching cases was shown, and the principle of the combined clustering algorithm for finance teaching cases with uneven distribution of long texts and short texts was described in detail. The experimental results verified the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Risk monitoring in mining areas is an indispensable part of the process of developing and managing natural resources in mining areas, and it involves the assessment of the safety of mining areas. Accurate acquisition and analysis of spatial geographic information of mining areas can better reduce the labour intensity of the mining industry, reduce the damage to the natural environment, and reduce the disasters that may be encountered in the mining process. With the continuous progress of space information technology, the emerging global navigation satellite system GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), geographic information processing system GIS (Geographic Information System) and remote sensing system RS (Remote Sensing) common role of 3S technology in the mining industry. 3S technology in the field of mine monitoring shows a strong potential and advantages. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the characteristics, specific operational details, and modes of mutual cooperation and joint collaboration of 3S technologies in mine monitoring, in order to provide suggestions for future mine risk monitoring.

The traditional practical teaching methods are based on teachers’ narration and demonstration, with few practical opportunities for students, lack of interactivity in teaching, low interest of students in teaching, and poor teaching effect. In order to improve the teaching effect of environmental landscape design and enhance students’ learning enthusiasm, a practical teaching method of environmental landscape design based on IoT network and digital VR technology will be studied. After guiding students to carry out the cognitive construction of environmental landscape design, VR technology is used to establish virtual teaching scenes for students. To create effective virtual reality engagement in the teaching process and enable students to better grasp important design information, gesture recognition technology is employed to recognize students’ landscape design operations. After the application of the proposed teaching method in teaching was verified through examples, the students’ learning interest was significantly increased, and the excellent rate of students’ design works was increased by about 16.6%, with good teaching effect.
