In the future, the penetration rate of new energy in the energy system will continue to increase. To improve the safe and stable operation of the energy system, energy storage and other equipment will become indispensable measures. How to consider new energy and energy storage in conventional energy system modeling is a key issue facing future energy systems. This paper focuses on the trend of energy storage in the future based on the current status of energy storage and analyzes possible key issues to provide ideas for the modeling of subsequent energy systems.
