Multifunctional SiO2/C/Fe3O4 Composite Particles with Photoacoustic and Magnetocaloric Properties

Abstract: Photoacoustic imaging is a new noninvasive imaging technology that combines the advantages of optical imaging and ultrasound imaging. Using materials with good photoacoustic effects can improve imaging contrast and resolution. With the development of photoacoustic imaging in the field of medical treatment, research pertaining to photoacoustic functional materials is progressing continuously. In this study, we effectively synthesize a multifunctional photoacoustic and magnetocaloric nanomaterial, i.e., SiO 2 /C… Show more

“…Multifunctional materials are therefore key enablers for new solutions in energy, imaging, sensing, communications, theranostics or security to meet our needs. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Counterfeiting is a global threat that causes financial damage and compromises the security of our society, as it affects products ranging from DOI: 10.1002/adfm.202305907 consumer goods to high value-added items or medicines. [9] For this reason, the vast majority of articles are protected by anticounterfeiting measures based on a series of increasingly complex security layers, which result in a distinctive response to different types of stimuli such as temperature, time, photoexcitation, or mechanical stress.…”
