Abstract:Integrated safety sensors for personal protection equipment increasingly attract research activities as there is a high need for workers in delicate situations to be physically monitored in order to avoid accidents. In this work, we present a simple approach to generate thin, homogeneous polypyrrole (PPy) layers on flexible textile polyamide fabrics. PPy layers of 0.5–1 µm were deposited on the fabric, which thus kept its flexibility. The conductive layers are multifunctional and can act as temperature and gas… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
