Multifunctional Enzymatically Generated Hydrogels for Chronic Wound Application

Abstract: The healing of chronic wounds requires intensive medical intervention at huge healthcare costs. Dressing materials should consider the multifactorial nature of these wounds comprising deleterious proteolytic and oxidative enzymes and high bacterial load.
