Multienzyme‐Mimic Ultrafine Alloyed Nanoparticles in Metal Organic Frameworks for Enhanced Chemodynamic Therapy

Abstract: Nanozyme‐based chemodynamic therapy (CDT) has emerged as an effective cancer treatment because of its low side effects and without the requirement of exogenous energy. The therapeutic effect of CDT highlights the pivotal importance of active sites, H2O2 supplement and the glutathione (GSH) depletion of a nanozyme. The construction of a single kind of catalyst with multiple functions for the enhanced CDT is still a big challenge. In this work, seven types of bimetallic nanoparticles are synthesized using a meta… Show more

“…In addition, other metal elements have also been exploited for realizing two‐metal‐ion‐based CDT. [ 371–388 ] Yang et al. designed ancient pigment nanosheets (SrCuSi 4 O 10 NSs, abbreviated as SC NSs) and functionalized them with GOx to afford SC@G NSs for the synergistic action of ST, PTT, and CDT ( Figure a).…”

“…The results of our in vivo experiment under osteoporosis conditions are consistent with those reported in the literature. Although there may be concerns about the biosafety of MOF nanomaterials, a number of recent studies have shown that low concentrations of MOF nanomaterials have no significant biotoxicity [ 53 , 54 ].…”

“…[61][62][63] Meanwhile, due to their porous structure and excellent catalytic properties, MOFs are also widely used in CDT. [64,65] Ding et al fabricated a hybrid nanoagent (Au/FeMOF@CPT NPs) using gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) and FeMOF NPs to load camptothecin (CPT) (Figure 2C). [63] Once exposed to the excess phosphate in tumor cells, Au/FeMOF@CPT NPs would collapse to release CPT completely and activate a cascade catalytic reaction.…”
