Multidisciplinary management of macroglobulinaemia or Waldenström’s disease

Abstract: Waldenströ m macroglobulinaemia (WM) is a rare lowgrade lymphoproliferative disorder characterized by a monoclonal lymphoplasmacytic proliferation with serum monoclonal immunoglobulin (IgM). Clinical manisfestations and laboratory abnormalities are related to direct tumour infiltration and to the amount and specific properties of the monoclonal IgM.
