Multicriteria shape design of a sheet contour in stamping

Abstract: International audienceOne of the hottest challenges in automotive industry is related to weight reduction in sheet metal forming processes, in order to produce a high quality metal part with minimal material cost. Stamping is the most widely used sheet metal forming process; but its implementation comes with several fabrication flaws such as springback and failure. A global and simple approach to circumvent these unwanted process drawbacks consists in optimizing the initial blank shape with innovative methods.… Show more

“…The situation is clearly evident, for example, in the SSS study of die tooling elements, as can be seen from the analysis of [31][32][33]. In the models constructed and described in these works, simplified contact conditions for die elements are often used.…”

“…Oujebbour et al [11] busca otimizar a forma inicial da chapa de metal, de modo a reduzir o risco de falhas e o retorno elástico. No processo de estampagem estes dois objetivos são conflitantes, o que significa que são problemas complexos de otimizar.…”

“…Various attempts have been made to combine global and local optimization algorithms in order to overcome the challenges of using them separately [10,[17][18][19][20][21]. Most of these studies used a combination of a global (e.g., GA) and a local optimization algorithm, which can be referred to as a hybrid optimization algorithm.…”
