Information is considered to be the major part of an organization. With the enhancement of technology, the knowledge level is increasing with the passage of time. This increase of information is in volume, velocity, and variety. Extracting meaningful insights is the dire need of an individual from such information and knowledge. Visualization is a key tool and has become one of the most significant platforms for interpreting, extracting, and communicating information. The current study is an endeavour toward data modelling and user knowledge by using a rough set approach for extracting meaningful insights. The technique has used different rough set algorithms such as K-nearest neighbours (KNN), decision rules (DR), decomposition tree (DT), and local transfer function classifier (LTF-C) for an experimental setup. The approach has found its accuracy for the optimal use of data modelling and user knowledge. The experimental setup of the proposed method is validated by using the dataset available in the UCI web repository. Results of the proposed study show that the model is effective and efficient with an accuracy of 96% for KNN, 87% for decision rules, 91% for decision trees, 85.04% for cross validation architecture, and 94.3% for local transfer function classifier. The validity of the proposed classification algorithms is tested using different performance metrics such as F-score, precision, accuracy, recall, specificity, and misclassification rates. For all these performance metrics, the KNN classifier outperformed, and this high performance shows the applicability of the KNN classifier in the proposed problem.

The large scale increase of communication and number of devices in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has rapidly enabled practitioners to make decisions based on multicriteria. Multicriteria decision support systems (MCDSSs) play an important role in decision-making for a particular situation based on several criteria. Making of decision based on multicriteria is the main issues for research community and practitioners of the IIoT. Several decision support systems (DSSs) are offered for making decisions which have the potentiality to support the activities of the decision-making process. The suggested study shows a review on the existing decision support systems for the IIoT for source code transformation which will enable research community and practitioners of the industry to use the existing methods, tools, approaches, and techniques and to provide novel solutions for the smooth industry of Internet of Things.

The revolution in software development is increasing with the use of advanced techniques and tools. Software development organizations are considering standards, methods, approaches, and tools to support them in maintaining the effectiveness of software. An effective implementation of software process improvement (SPI) is important in order to gain effectiveness in the software industry. Disasters are happening in software projects and industry of software, which hinder the success of software and ultimately lead the software to failure. Peoples of organizations are demanding to devise methodological approaches for reducing the failure rate of software, but it perceived slight success. The proposed study’s aim is to offer multicriteria decision making for continuous Internet of software industry and to report the literature to early decision making associated to software developments. The study has devised a comprehensive overview of the existing methodological approaches, tools, and mechanisms applied in software improvement for the software industry and is based on multicriteria decision making. The research has analyzed the available literature from different perspectives and then reported it. The results of the study will help researchers to devise new solutions for effective software process improvement, and the this study will consider as a support of evidence.
