Multicenter superstrata

Abstract: We construct a new class of superstrata, the regular supergravity solutions describing the microstates of D1-D5-P black holes. Our solutions are obtained by adding momentum charge to the D1-D5 geometries based on multiple concentric Kaluza-Klein monopoles.

“…These branes back-react to create a geometry, AdS 3 ×S 3 ×M 4 , where M 4 is either K3 or T 4 . Superstrata are then the smooth geometries that result from back-reacting coherent combinations of particular left-moving momentum excitations in the CFT [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. The holographic dictionary for these excitations and the dual geometries has been thoroughly examined and has passed numerous, precise, non-trivial tests [1,2,5,[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16].…”

“…But those states are not typical in the sense that their dual geometries are locally isometric to AdS 3 × S 3 so they do not contribute to the entropy of black holes. In the 1/8-BPS sector, the microstate geometries of typical states were firstly constructed in [19] and more solutions were found in [20,21,22,23,24] 1 . These microstate geometries which are called the superstrata in the D1-D5-P frame are asymptotic to AdS 3 × S 3 but have very complicated geometries near the horizon regions.…”

“…There is a long history of such consistent truncations [5][6][7][8][9][10][11], however, in [12], this work was extended to include extra tensor multiplets. These extra degrees of freedom are essential if one is to capture a subset of superstrata -a particularly important class of microstate geometries [13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20].…”
