Abstract:The effects of predator-taxis and conversion time delay on formations of spatiotemporal patterns in a predator-prey model are explored. Firstly, the well-posedness, which implies global existence of classical solutions, is proved. Then, we establish critical conditions for the destabilization of coexistence equilibrium through Turing/Turing-Turing bifurcations via describing the first Turing bifurcation curve, and theoretically predict possible bi-stable/multi-stable spatially heterogeneous patterns. Next, we d… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
