Adoption of Wireless Mesh Network offers cost effective data transmission system; however, there is always a problems associated with larger scale of deployment where resource consumption is inevitable and beyond control. After reviewing the existing approaches toward improving the routing operation in Wireless Mesh Network, it has been seen that there are still a larger scope in improvement. Therefore, the proposed study introduces an optimized framework for quality of service that jointly works towards resolving hidden terminal problem as well as performs enhance data delivery in presence of challenging traffic scenario. The proposed system uses analytical modeling approach for channel occupancy is formulated and it performs computation of channel capacity. Further, an improved scheduling approach has been formulated in order to ensure superior saving of energy by considering various novel ranges of empirical parameters. Simulated in MATLAB, the proposed system highlights that it offers reduced delay, increased throughput, and highly controlled energy efficiency when compared with the existing routing protocols claims of traffic management in wireless mesh network.

Drone communications make use of line-of-sight coverage of drones to realise services that ground devices may not support. Many relevant applications such as video capture by drones and drone traffic management, require group communications between drones to efficiently disseminate data. In this paper, we study high-performance yet resource-efficient multicasting between drones that may change their locations in order to fulfill their missions. This is achieved by proposing novel trajectories for mobile drones to seamlessly transit, with controlled travel distances and traffic overheads, in a multicasting environment. The presented efficient transition via trajectory adjustment (ETTA) algorithm is developed based on our analysis of the condition that determines when a straight-line trajectory between the origin and destination of a drone is not seamless. The algorithm then proposes the trajectory adjustment schemes that form a new interference-controlled and travel-distance-controlled trajectory to replace an interrupted straight-line trajectory. Our NS2 simulation results demonstrate that ETTA, as compared to other mobile multicasts, can achieve guaranteed performance in a multicast with heavier traffic loads.

In this paper, a video multicast mechanism is studied in fiber-wireless (FiWi) access networks with object to guarantee the quality of experience (QoE) for different users. Firstly, according to the characteristics of scalable video coding, a new QoE evaluation model is built in terms of the video interruption probability, video bitrate and smoothness. Then the optimal transmission path is studied based on the coverage and transmission capabilities of ONU-BS nodes. Specifically, a bipartite graph is constructed based on which the multicast tree is obtained by solving the minimum dominating set problem. Thereafter, a video bitrate adjustment algorithm is proposed to reduce the video interruption probability based on the buffer state on the user side and meet the bitrate requirements for different users during multicast transmissions. Simulation results verify that the proposed scheme performs well in QoE guarantees for different users simultaneously.INDEX TERMS Fiber-wireless access networks, scalable video coding, quality of experience, multicast adaptation.
