Multi-Objective Dynamic Economic Dispatch of Microgrid Systems Including Vehicle-to-Grid

Abstract: Based on the characteristics of electric vehicles (EVs), this paper establishes the load models of EVs under the autonomous charging mode and the coordinated charging and discharging mode. Integrating the EVs into a microgrid system which includes wind turbines (WTs), photovoltaic arrays (PVs), diesel engines (DEs), fuel cells (FCs) and a storage battery (BS), this paper establishes multi-objective economic dispatch models of a microgrid, including the lowest operating cost, the least carbon dioxide emissions,… Show more

“…Moreover, the charging and discharging of EVs from the DR programs could be identified and evaluated in optimal conditions for the customer type in terms of DR programs and DR potential benefits [23]. Therefore, optimization techniques are applied to find the optimal solution to problems that affect the PEVs increase and high consumption of energy from the electrical power system networks [9,[24][25][26]. Meanwhile, many current PEVs have been provided for users to replace the old internal combustion car, which are produced by different brands in the market.…”

“…This has been generally dealt with by estimating the time of arrival of people at home [13,[18][19][20]. Another problem is the determination of the minimum final SOC of private vehicles.…”

“…Pelet et al [28] adopted a multi-objective evolutionary programming technique to rationalize the design of energy systems for remote locations. Liu et al [29] established multi-objective economic dispatch models of a microgrid with EVs charging under the autonomous charging mode. Kim et al [30] also proposed a methodology to determine the optimal capacity of renewable distributed generation using a multi-objective optimization model.…”
