Multi Model Approach to Multivariable Low Order Structured-Controller Design

Abstract

Abstract:The fast industrial progress took to a high increase of the complexity of the modern plants, it arises then the need of a technique of multivariable control that comes to suppress some needs such as: robustness, flexibility, and a methodology easy to understand and to use. The technique proposed here allows to project robust low order multivariable controllers (like PID), taking in consideration the controller's structure, the algorithm, and the representation of the process for more than one model resulting in an effective, flexible and time saving tool to multivariable control process. A case study is used to exemplify the method.
