Multi-hop wireless charging optimization in low-power networks

Abstract: Abstract-Recent advancements in wireless charging technology offer promising alternative to address the challenging problem of energy consumption in low-power networks. Based on these breakthroughs, existing solutions have investigated wireless charging strategies of low-power networks through the use of mobile chargers, where a charger has to come at the nodes' vicinity to recharge their battery. However, none of these works have considered the multihop energy transmission, whose feasibility have been demonst… Show more

“…d) Low power and Lossy Networks (LLT): In FANETs, UAV nodes are typically characterized by limited resources, such as battery, memory and computational resources. LLN composed of many embedded devices such as UAVs with limited power, and it can be considered as a promising approach to be used in FANET to handle power challenge in UAVs [324], [345].…”

“…Table X summarizes the existing wireless charger deployment strategies. Clearly, multi-hop provisioning has been less investigated, only in [345]. Additionally, it is important to study a system when each device can harvest energy from multiple transmitters.…”

“…The maximum amount of energy is extracted from the coil when the capacitor is a conjugate match to the source, as shown in Figure 11. Voltage doubler rectify low Alternate Current (AC) collected from the resonator circuit to DC voltage [18,19,20,21,22,23]. It uses a series of capacitors and Schottky diodes to step up and rectify power concurrently.…”
