Abstract:Automatic Identification System (AIS) can obtain a large amount of data on ship trajectories and movement characteristics, which provides data support for ship route planning, navigation safety, and maritime traffic control. Therefore, it is of great importance to analyze and cluster the AIS data to obtain an understanding of the movement behavior of ships. The Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm is capable of discovering arbitrarily shaped clusters and is suitable fo… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
