“…According to Hamimi, the CT-Scan urography examination was carried out starting from patient preparation, patient positioning to the examination technique. The examination technique is carried out with the patient prone on a table with the feet first position of the body MSP parallel to the longitudinal light, the patient's MCP is located in the middle of the horizontal light from the gantry and the patient's arm is above the head [32]. CT examination of the urinary tract is shown in axial, sagittal and coronal sections [33].…”

“…In addition, it can be added with tea to speed up the diuresis process. MSCT is a diagnostic imaging method that can display cross-sectional anatomy in the axial, sagittal and coronal areas by visualizing urinary tract anatomy and stone pathology supported by ureteral tracking techniques without contrast media [32,37]. According to Yudha, to get optimal CT urography image results, positive or negative media contrast can be used.…”

“…One of the sites at our institution extensively adopted the LDCT in 2012, to meet the urologists needs for imaging after Extracorporal Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL) as well as follow-up imaging of patients with nephro- and uro-lithiasis. With growing expertise and increasing diagnostic confidence, the comfort zone boundaries were broadened and the LDCT use was extended to diagnostics of acute flank pain and acute abdomen for several indications such as diverticulitis, appendicitis and renal calculi [22] in concurrence with Hamimi et al [31] who studied the efficiency of low-dose technique using an effective mAs of 50 (very similar to our LDCT protocol), in diagnosis of renal calculi and concluded that it was crucial in the management of renal stone disease in the acute setting. Both Lee et al [12] and Poletti et al [11] demonstrated the use of LDCT in acute abdominal pain diagnoses.…”

“…Some types of imaging modalities commonly used in evaluating disorders of the urological system are Blass Nier Overzicht (BNO-IVP), Ultrasound (USG), and Multislice Computed Tomography (MSCT) (Lampignano & Kendrick, 2017). Multislice Computed Tomography is one modality that can evaluate disorders of the urological system well because it has high sensitivity and specificity in detecting kidney stones (Hamimi & El Azab, 2016).…”
