MS-BWME: A Wireless Real-Time Monitoring System for Brine Well Mining Equipment

Abstract: This paper describes a wireless real-time monitoring system (MS-BWME) to monitor the running state of pumps equipment in brine well mining and prevent potential failures that may produce unexpected interruptions with severe consequences. MS-BWME consists of two units: the ZigBee Wireless Sensors Network (WSN) unit and the real-time remote monitoring unit. MS-BWME was implemented and tested in sampled brine wells mining in Qinghai Province and four kinds of indicators were selected to evaluate the performance o… Show more

“…The temperature and humidity monitoring system consisted of three main subsystems -a data acquisition system, a data processing system, and a data transport system -as described previously (Xiao et al, 2014) (Figure 1). The data transport system was produced by China Unicom's CDMA services, which provided a wireless bidirectional channel between data acquisition and processing.…”

“…These may be caused by the adaptive weight coefficients' calculation. However, the run time and mean battery charge status meet the actual real-time application requirements in the cold chain logistics [6,34]. The results suggest that the adaptive optimal weighted data fusion could fuse the sensor data, accurately, efficiently and adaptively, which reflects the real-time data dynamic characteristic in the refrigeration truck during the whole cold chain logistics of table grapes.…”

“…Applying wireless sensor network (WSN) to monitor the cold chain logistics of table grapes, which integrates sensor technology, embedded computing, networking, wireless communication technology and distributed processing together to sense information from monitored objects in the environment and which sends it to the end-user via wireless and multi-hop network, has been an inevitable trend [25][26][27]. WSN has been widely adopted and applied in agricultural [28][29][30], environmental monitoring [31,32], industrial [33,34] and many other important areas.…”

“…Multiple methods proposed Cortes et al (2014) and Xiao et al (2014) were followed to make sure that temperature 87 monitoring system would be designed to meet the need of potential users: a) Field observation for frozen and chilled 88 aquatic products in cold chain logistics; b) Field survey and interviews. 89…”

“…The 314 reason is that the temperature is in continuous fluctuation under variable temperature condition, such that the system 315 is unable to sparse sampling as well because of the temperature variation. However, the result of the data 316 reconstruction error analysis still satisfies the real application in cold chain Xiao et al, 2014). 317…”
