Ms. An, Feasibility Study with a Robot Teaching Assistant

Abstract: In this feasibility study, we present a socially interactive robot teaching assistant to engage 5 th grade rural minority students in practicing multiplication. We discovered students perceived the robot as a sociable agent; and students preferred their interaction with the robot assistant over other kinds of study support.
