Abstract: INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES: Open partial nephrectomy (OPN) is considered the gold standard treatment for patients with renal tumours in solitary functioning kidneys. The ability to offer satisfactory cancer outcomes combined with potential avoidance of long term dialysis drives this treatment.
