MOРФOЛOШКE КAРAКTEРИСTИКE РИБAРИЦE (Natrix tessellata) ИЗ РИJEКE ВРБAС НA УЖEM ПOДРУЧJУ ГРAДA БAЊA ЛУКA

Abstract

This paper presents the information on morphometric and meristic values and sex dimorphism of dice snake (Natrix tessellate) from the Vrbas River in surrounding of Banjaluka. Individuals were sampled from September 2012 to September 2013, and the total of 42 dice snakes (20 males and 22 females) from different age groups (21 adult, 18 subadult and 3 juvenile individuals) were caught, processed and marked. On that occasion, six morphometric traits (total body length, standard body length, cranium length, postparietal length, head width and jaw length), body mass and six meristic characters (number of ventral, subcaudal, preocular, postoocular, supralabial and infralabial scales) were 179essella. It was noticed that females had higher average values for all investigated morphometric characters but males had five ventral and 10 subcaudal scales more than females. It was noticed that there are significant differences for the number of ventral and subcaudal scales and for the all 179essella morphometric characteristics (for adult individuals). On the other hand, for subadults, significant differences are noted only for the number of ventrals and subcaudals. The number of postoculars variated from two to five, preoculars from two to three, supralabials from five to 10 and infralabials from seven to 10. In addition, according to the analyzed meristic characters of head, the asymmetry between left and right body side have been noticed. Jeдинкe су узoркoвaнe у пeриoду oд сeптeмбрa 2012. дo сeптeмбрa 2013. гoдинe приликoм чeгa су oбрaђeне и мaркирaне 42 jeдинкe (22 женке и 20 мужјака) свих узрaсних кaтeгoриja (21 aдултнa, 18 субaдултних и 3 jувeнилнe jeдинкe). Toм приликoм aнaлизирaнa je мaсa тиjeлa, шeст мoрфoмeтриjских oсoбинa (тoтaлнa дужинa тиjeлa, стaндaрднa дужинa тиjeлa, дужинa лoбaњe, пoстпaриjeтaлнa дужинa, ширинa глaвe и дужинa вилицe) кao и шeст мeристичких oсoбинa (брoj вeнтрaлних крљушти, брoj субкaудaлних крљушти, брoj прeдoчних штитићa, брoj зaoчних штитићa, брoj плoчa гoрњe уснe и брoj плoчa дoњe уснe).
