“…The lung age concept was initially developed by Morris and Temple [11] to express spirometry results in an easily understandable manner in order to encourage patients to change their smoking behavior. Since the development of the lung age tool, several studies [12, 19] have reported support for the use of lung age to improve smoking quit rates while others have not found an association.
