Abstract:We study large deviations for a Markov process on curves in Z 2 mimicking the motion of an interface. Our dynamics can be tuned with a parameter β, which plays the role of an inverse temperature, and coincides at β = ∞ with the zero-temperature Ising model with Glauber dynamics, where curves correspond to the boundaries of droplets of one phase immersed in a sea of the other one. We prove that contours typically follow a motion by curvature with an influence of the parameter β, and establish large deviations b… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
