Mothers of Mid-century Spanish Families: Agents of Social Change in the Context of Dictatorship and Patriarchy

Abstract: This article focuses on how middle-class families created during the second half of the Francoist dictatorship in Spain decisively contributed to improving the educational level of the biggest generation in Spanish society, born between the late 1950s and the mid-1970s.
