Mössbauer Effect Studies of 57Co and 57Fe in β‐Rhombohedral Boron

Abstract: The behavior of 57Fe and 57C0 doped $-rhombohedra1 boron was investigated by means of Mossbauer spectroscopy. Samples prepared by diffusing 57Fe at temperatures above 1000 "C and W o a t temperatures of 1500 "C or higher showed a reproducible quadrupole interaction and a strongly anisotropic f-factor. Using combinations of the different parameters obtained from the spectra it was attempted to determine the position of tho impurities.
