“…Cheng and colleagues reported a case of localized MPCM following Blaschko's lines and suggested that mast cell precursors develop the c‐kit mutation after they leave the bone marrow and enter the neural crest ectoderm through vessels, causing the conspicuous Blaschko distribution. According to Happle, localized forms would constitute a mosaic manifestation with a mutation event confined to affected parts of the body. Atypical cases of CM are rare but should be considered, as in this case, as a spontaneous localized form of MPCM with clinical features similar to those of nevus spilus.…”
