Morphology‐controlled Electrodeposition of Copper Nanospheres onto FTO for Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

Abstract: Using CuSO 4 as the copper source, nanostructured copper with four different morphologies was obtained by electrodeposition method on FTO substrates. The as-synthesized Cu/FTO samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effects of electrodeposition potential and electrodeposition time on … Show more

“…However, this technique can synthesize varieties of nanomaterials with specified structure and composition. Some of this includes spherical-shaped Bi 2 WO 6 /graphene with hierarchical structure, uniform well-aligned MnO 2 /TiO 2 nanotube arrays, granular and densely agglomerated multiphase CuInSe 2 with spherical structure, WO 3 consisting of irregular nanocrystalline particle, and Cu/FTO possessing hexagonal nanoslice structure [189][190][191][192][193].…”
