“…(3) The maximum pull-out load of the tendon measured in this study was smaller than that in the studies of tendon reattachment to bone [2,8,9,10,13], and even smaller than that in our previous study [7]. In previous reports evaluating tendon healing in a bone tunnel, a fibrocartilagenous layer and/or collagen fibres penetrating the tendon from the bone were observed at the interface [2,5,8,9,10,13].
