Abstract:Multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were melt‐mixed with the liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) phase to investigate MWCNTs dispersion and the electrical conductivity of LCP/MWCNTs composite. LCP/MWCNTs composite showed an insulating behavior even at 5 wt% of MWCNTs concentration, wherein MWCNTs were dispersed as ‘individualized’ as well as ‘nano‐agglomerated’ state in the LCP matrix. Further, LCP along with MWCNTs were melt‐mixed with 50/50 (wt/wt) polyamide 6 (PA6)/ acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer… Show more
The effects of blend ratio and MWCNT loading on the morphology, electrical properties and electromagnetic shielding performance of poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT)/polypropylene (PP) blend nanocomposites were studied.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
