Abstract:IntroductionPolycythemia vera (PV) is a JAK2-mutated myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) characterized by clonal erythrocytosis and an intrinsic risk of transformation into acute myeloid leukemia (AML), known as blast-phase (BP) disease, a condition typified by dismal prognosis.
