This study aim to characterize the hemocyte cells in two species amazon blackflies: Ectemnaspis rorotaense (Floch & Abonnenc) and Ectemnaspis trombetense (Hamada, Py-Daniel & Adler). Black fly larvae and pupae were collected from streams in Presidente Figueiredo Municipality, Amazonas State, Brazil.
