MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF URBAN LANDSCAPES THAT CONSIST OF BUILDINGS : "Figure and Ground" of urban landscapes

Abstract

The present study is based on the hypQthethis that the fundamental part of the evaluation in the precess deesn ' t depend on the individuai for the cQnstruction of the evaluation structure 、 And proposing to pay attention to ' ' figure " Qf the urban landscapes ， the purpose of this paper is to investigate how co 且 ors and forms act as figure of urban landscapes using cluster analysis ， paired comparison and princ 孟 pal compQnent analysis ． As a result ， the following conclusiQns were obtained ． 1．It is confirmed that there reside four main components such as composition ， perspective ， regural 辻 y， and density in psycho 玉 ogica 玉 d正 mentions ． 2 ．Fechner ' s law is much effective to indicate the relationship between physical index and psycholQgical response ．
