“…These results are in line with those obtained for Baldellia, Dianthus, Scilla, or Ononis, in the same area (Rocha et al 2012b;Almeida da Silva et al 2014;Rocha et al 2018;Castro et al , 2020. In these cases, morphological fluctuations also overlapped, and no significance was detected for their environmental characterization either.…”

“…The most discriminant variables involved in the differentiation of the clusters, described in tabular form, involves F to remove, p-level, and tolerance to measure the redundancy with the other variables, as statistical values. This multivariate description has usually applied for previous morpho-environmental characterizations (Rocha et al 2012a(Rocha et al , 2012b(Rocha et al , 2017(Rocha et al , 2018. The multivariate analysis here described was carried out using the software STATISTICA v. 9.1 (StatSoft Inc. 2010).…”

“…For the morphometric analysis, 255 specimens were selected, based on the general distribution of each taxon. The criteria applied to this selection were: were also applied for other contributions, where the same methodology was performed (Rocha et al 2012 Morphological variables used in the analysis were selected among the diagnostic variables used to distinguish and describe each taxon, according to the most relevant floras existing for the studied area (Coste 1937;Ivimey-Cook 1968;Franco 1971;Pignatti 1982;de Bolòs & Vigo 1984;Devesa 1987;Devesa 2000). Those variables were: maximum corolla length (FLs), maximum calyx length (FLc), maximum calyx teeth length (Fdl), maximum calyx teeth width (Fdw), maximum number of lobes in calyx teeth (Fdnd), maximum pedicel length until the arist (FLp1), maximum pedicel length between (a) all the areas occupied for each taxon should be represented in the morphometric analysis in order to describe its morphological variability as good as possible; and (b) the morphological development and condition of the specimen, preferentially plants with flowers and fruits were measured.…”
