Abstract:Closed degloving injury is a severe traumatic separation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the underlying fascia first described by Mor el-lav alle in the mid∼19th century. He observed the phenomenon in the lower limb of a woman after tangential trauma with separation of the fatty layers. Sporadic cases have been reported in the literature since. We report a case referred for plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons
