Abstract:Este artigo revisita momento crucial da longa história da relação crime e epilepsia. O objetivo é mostrar, inicialmente, como nas décadas de 1920 e 1930, a psiquiatria forense praticada no Rio de Janeiro realizou esforços para manter o tema sob seus domínios.
