Moonlighting activity of the epigenetic machinery restrains infection

Abstract: Intracellular bacterial pathogens have evolved a range of mechanisms, including manipulation of the host cell epigenetic machinery and host cell gene expression rewiring, to parasitize and thrive inside host phagocytes.
