Abstract:Monte Carlo investigations of the D* value for Ising strips D × L (D L) with periodic boundary conditions have been performed. The apparent critical temperature of Ising strips was determined by means of the Binder Cumulant Method crossing data for D × L with data for D × 2L. The results show that D* is 4.25 ± 0.05, i.e., the critical temperature of Ising strips is T C (D) = 0 for D < D* = 4.25 ± 0.05 and 0 < T C (D) < T C (d = 2) = 2.269185 for D ≥ D* = 4.25 ± 0.05.
