Abstract:We assessed serum and fecal sex steroid hormone metabolites concentrations, change of vaginal smear, and rectal temperature measurements in a captive Hartmann's mountain zebra (Equus zebra hartmannae). After serum estradiol-17β concentration peaked, serum progesterone concentration increased.
