Abstract: i i EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In 1983, two methoxychlor treatments of the Athabasca River for larval black fly control were monitored by the Pesticide Chemicals Branch of Alberta Environment, Environmental Protection Services, Pollution Control Division. Non-target benthic invertebrate populations were studied during the open water season to assess short term and long term effects caused by the methoxychlor treatments.
